Innovation is the key word
To innovate and develop new techniques whilst paying particular attention to the environment: this mindset has been part of LACROIX from the very beginning. LACROIX develops its own tools: moulds…Reducing the use of plastics, the brand relies on technology present in the aeronautical and motor racing worlds: vacuum polymerization, water-jet and laser cutting, precision machining, anodizing, high-resistance adhesives …This technology taken from leading-edge industrial sectors is continually supervised and tested thus guaranteeing performance that still cannot be equaled in the skiing world.
Exclusive materials
Structure
LX Sandwich
Lacroix has chosen the said “fibro metal” sandwich construction that is characterized by a glued laminated (or glulam) wood core protected by a metallic enclosure with fibres in between. The metallic enclosure gives the ski a certain dynamism that cannot be compared, in flexure as well as in torsion. Moreover, this means that the ski bends progressively, in a uniform manner and is ultimately more hardwearing. The “fibro-metal” sandwich construction allows for unequalled precision when controlling turns thanks to the resistance created by the edge of the skis. The choice of metal supports allows for a slimmer and therefore lighter ski.
Sidewalls
Composite - LX CSD (Composite Sidewall Design)
Treatments
LX DCS (Density Cross System)
This is the result of a cross- treatment between the LX Titanal and an LX Force treatment using the LX BiTitanl technique (selected areas only). It has thus become possible to sublimate the properties of Titanal even more intensely focusing on certain areas. In the case of the Lacroix snowboard, this technology has been used for the execution of perfect edge to edge transfers without losing any of the flexure or distorting the torsion of the board. All of this is thanks to a segmented cross strategically placed on the board.
